Distance Learning Komatsu Class Deployment in Vocational School (Link & Match Program)

The Link and Match program is a collaboration program with vocational schools (SMK), for teaching work culture and basic competency started from high school. Last 2019, Komatsu Instructors came to each SMK, to teach work culture for teachers and students. Since pandemic COVID 19, it was impossible to conduct in-class learning, so it had to be done with “distance learning”.

The inaugural program was launched last June which was aimed specifically to 40 Vocational Schools’ teachers in Link & Match program at Komatsu Group Indonesia. The next program target is students, held for the first batch in August and followed by the second and third batches in September and October 2020 (3 months duration).

The Komatsu class program for students is handled by the teachers in each school, of course that cannot be separated from the intensive mentoring by the instructor team from Komatsu Group Indonesia. From this activity, Komatsu wished the teachers of 40 engaged vocational schools to be more involved as role models in the implementation of industrial work culture in the school environment. This program is a kind of CSR in the context of empowering Vocation Schools, and a good relationship with government programs.
